Nokia Lumia 925, the first metal lumia launched in India for Rs 33,499

Launched in May, the partially aluminum build Nokia Lumia 925 took time to hit the Indian shores but it is finally here today. Priced at Rs 33,499 the smartphone is slim, sleek and makes a marked departure from the polycarbonate industrial design train so far associated with the Lumia range. With a premium aluminum aluminum chassis on the front mated to a polycarbonate backing, the device looks slim and good at 8.5mm and is also lighter than the Lumia 920 at 139 grams. Apart from the metal-bodies and beautiful external good-looks, the internal specs of Lumia 925 is almost similar to the Lumia 920. Featuring a 4.5 inch-screen with 1280×768 pixels resolutions but opting for a AMOLED display instead of the LCD one in Lumia 920, Lumia 950 is  powered by the same dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM and has a 16GB of internal storage. No microSD add-on here. Making good use of Windows Phone Amber update and the AMOLED display, Lumia 920 also touts the Glance Screen, an always-on standby screen clock and battery indicator. Also the update allows the user to choose between the saturated AMOLED display colors and natural color palette. The highlight of the smartphone is a  a 8.7 Megapixel PureView camera with six Carl Zeiss lenses, promising great low-light photography and clearer, sharper imaging boosted by a 6-element lens assembly with the sixth element being made up glass. Other new addition to the camera department is the Nokia Pro Camera app, part of the Nokia Amber update. The app offers a host of features that includes slide to zoom, improved focus handling by touching the area of the screen you want to focus on and the manual focus. Also there is a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera and a 2,000-mAh battery. Nokia Lumia 925  is undoubtedly an exciting device on the top rung of Lumia range that can only be bettered by the yet-to-be launched Lumia 1020 with 41 megapixel camera sensor. ]]>
