Lenovo A7000 Launched in India and here is why it could sell in bucket loads

Lenovo has been doing pretty well in Indian market what with A6000 selling 3,00,000 units within two months of its launch in India. Basking on the success, the company has outed yet another potential blockbuster model, A7000 today and this could also be very well selling like hot cakes and here is why it will. Lenovo A7000 Before we get into why it will be a sizzler, let’s look at the specs of the A7000. The latest in the Lenovo’s A series, the A7000 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution with a pixel density of 267 ppi. Powering the device is a MediaTek chipset with 64-bit architecture and a octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz,  doing a tango with Mali-T670MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM. On board, there is a 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. The dual-SIM A7000 comes with LTE support and out of box, it comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop topped up with Vibe UI. On the camera side, there is an 8-megapixel snapper at the rear with autofocus and dual LED flash, a 5-megapixel front camera completes the setup. A 2,900mAh battery juices up the device which the company claims to offer 16hours of talktime and up to 264 hours on standby mode. The A7000 is also quiet thin at 7. 9 mm and light at 140grams which seems good. So now the fancy word that would most likely to be talked about when someone speaks of A7000. The Dolby Atmos. Heard of the term? The A7000 comes with it and it is the first mobile to be equipped with it. To quote Lenovo’s words “Users will immediately hear the Dolby Atmos difference using headphones: sounds of people, places, things, and music become more vivid and move from all directions, including overhead, with astonishing clarity, richness and depth. Voices and noises have a broader range from highs to lows, with the greatest subtlety. The technology also makes playback volume more consistent across all types of content.” Quiet a lavish description here. We will update you on the actual user experience but we can trust the technology to deliver a better audio experience than before. I was quiet happy with the A6000 ‘s Dolby audio and the addition of Atmos technology should enhance it. So why I will declare A7000 to be a blockbuster? Let’s see the rivals. We have Yu Yureka, Redmi Note 4G and Honor 4X in this segment, all fighting out for the online retail pie. (Redmi Note 4G though has gone into offline mode too now) On price scale, A7000 priced at Rs 8,900 is comfortably placed along with Yureka compared to the other two rivals which costs a bit more.  While the pixel-count is not the only deciding factor of imaging capabilities, a 8MP rear camera compared to the 13MP of the rivals might shy away few people who might relate good photography with pixel count. We are a nation who loves music don’t we? So ‘Dolby Atmos’ might attract many audiophiles. Then, the Lenovo brand has a better identity thanks to their laptop range and with Lenovo slowly making their foothold on the mobile space, the brand gains a better leverage now. My genie says all this points to a positive future for A7000 and mark my words it will choke the bandwidth on its flash sales days. We will keep you updated if it proves true. Also, watch out for our review pretty soon. The A7000 is priced at Rs. 8,999 and will be available exclusively on FlipKart. Registrations  for the first flash sale begins from today and the first sale is scheduled for 15th April, 2015.]]>
